Africa Blockchain Festival 2026 Comes to Nairobi as Kenya’s Crypto Rules Take Shape
The continent’s landmark blockchain gathering arrives in Kenya at a defining regulatory moment, with Web3 media platform Blockwisely bringing the story to the host community.
NAIROBI, KENYA – The Africa Blockchain Festival (ABF) is coming to Nairobi. ABF2026, the continent’s flagship blockchain and digital economy gathering, will take place from 15th to 17th October 2026 at the Sarit Expo Centre, convening more than 3,000 delegates from over 20 countries. To bring the event to the local community that will host it, ABF has named Blockwisely, one of Kenya’s most active Web3 media platforms, as an Official Media Partner for ABF2026 and its co-hosted WTS 4.0 summit.
Held under the theme Capital, Code, and Continuity: Building Africa’s Permanent Digital Economy, ABF2026 gathers the founders, investors, developers, regulators, and policymakers shaping the continent’s digital future. It follows an inaugural edition in Kigali, Rwanda, that drew more than 1,600 attendees and whose programming contributed to the advancement of Rwanda’s virtual asset legislation.
This year, the festival arrives in Kenya at a pivotal moment. The country has enacted its Virtual Asset Service Providers framework, establishing Central Bank of Kenya and Capital Markets Authority licensing and supervision for exchanges, wallet providers, stablecoin issuers, tokenisation platforms, and other virtual-asset businesses. The framework opens a clearer route for compliant market entry and positions Nairobi at the centre of East Africa’s regulated digital asset economy. ABF2026 brings the continental conversation to the city precisely as that conversation becomes most urgent.
